CBCT technology is a fantastic tool for diagnosis and treatment planning.
This patient was referred for a scan on tooth #14. The PA radiograph reveals some unusual radiolucency, but we could not identify what was going on. The CBCT scan shows extensive root resorption of the DB root as well as the Pal root. As such, the tooth will be extrcated.

From a 2nd year resident...Melissa
16 year old female with a horrible mouth but a good compliance with her appointments...go figure! We're working in quadrants here starting with the most symptomatic. Treated #5, then 4, came in yesterday for completion of #3. This was a 2 appointment treatment because I had found the MB2 by the end of the 1st appt, but didn't have time to instrument and obturate. MB2 joined with MB1. Below is the MB1 cone picture with MB2 'etched' along side it from cone fit.
